You’ll Be Sorry if You Miss ILLENIUM’s Trilogy in Denver in 2023

The Man Behind the Trilogy

ILLENIUM, Nicholas D. Miller (born December 26, 1990),  began making music in 2008 and quickly became known for his production quality and content. In 2012, things started to change as he was really inspired after seeing the live performance of Bassnectar at Red Rocks. He was so inspired that he decided to start producing his own music.

He started with a laptop and a MIDI controller, but soon he had an entire studio set up in his bedroom. He would spend hours each day making music, and it wasn’t long before he had a following. ILLENIUM began producing music at the age of 13, and by 16, he had already released his first EP on Skrillex’s label OWSLA.

ILLENIUM’s big break came when his remix of The Chainsmokers’ “Don’t Let Me Down” became a hit. He has been nominated for several global awards, including the Grammy Awards, and has collaborated with artists such as Halsey and Khalid. He has collaborated with artists such as Zeds Dead, Seven Lions and Said the Sky. ILLENIUM has also released singles such as “Don’t Give Up On Me” with Gryffin and “Crawl Outta Love” with Annika Wells. ILLENIUM has almost 10 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

The Grammy-nominated producer took the stage in 2021 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for the massive outing, “Trilogy.” The producer’s show was filmed for a live streaming event on YouTube. People tuned in from over 140 countries to watch the livestream and over 3 million people watched the stream across all platforms.

Trilogy represents the three albums as a combined phoenix that brought him out of his “Old Life.”

In 2016, ILLENIUM released his debut album Ashes, followed by Awake in 2017 and Ascend in 2019. ILLENIUM won the 2022 Billboard Music Award for top dance/electronic album

He has been nominated for his work on “Where The Wild Things Are” by Troye Sivan. His work can be found on many other albums, including “Bloom” by Odesza and “We Are King” by King Princess.

ILLENIUM is known for his live performances, often accompanied by visuals and pyrotechnics. He has performed at festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival, Lollapalooza, and Coachella. ILLENIUM is a DJ and producer from Chicago; however, he was raised in San Francisco.  While Trilogy isn’t a festival exactly, it might deserve a place among the EDM Festivals 2023.

His music is characterized by its heavy bass and melodic sound. He has released four studio albums, Ashes, Awake, Ascend and Falling Embers. His style of production has been described as “melodic bass” or “future bass.” ILLENIUM’s style of music is a mix of dance/electronica vibes that resonate all across the country.
